Meghan Markle, the former Duchess of Sussex (that is, until the notorious Megxit), is not close to her family, to say the least. Since she started dating Prince Harry, speculations about Meghan’s family have circulated, and when the royal wedding came around, and it was revealed that Meghan’s father and sister weren’t included in the guest list, the media had a field day on the soon-to-be-duchess.
Samantha, 54, is Meghan’s half-sister, and the two have allegedly been estranged for almost a decade now; according to Samantha, her estrangement from the family has to do with Meghan’s mother, Doria. When Meghan joined the royal family, Samantha has spoken about publishing a book revealing the family’s secrets as an attempt to sabotage Meghan’s new life.
