The White House, 1948
Do you recognize this building? This is one of the most important structures is the U.S under renovations. The White House wasn’t always what it is today – the beautiful house with the green lawns surrounding it and the colorful rooms. That’s why former president Harry Truman decided to have it renovated in 1948.
As you can see in the photo, it wasn’t a slight change or some wall painting, but this renovation took several years. In the meantime, Truman moved to a house across the street. This photo was taking during the construction work, in 1948.
