The Unexpected and Controversial Rise of MrBeast to YouTube Superstardom

Because of his app’s overwhelming popularity, MrBeast decided to expand his business beyond YouTube. In late November 2020, one of the producers for MrBeast revealed that the team was developing an online-only restaurant chain called MrBeast Burger, which would only accept orders and deliver food to customers through the Internet.

Opening its first location in December 2020, the chain billed itself as the “World’s First Free Restaurant.” In a matter of weeks, MrBeast expanded to new cities, eventually reaching over 300 locations across the United States.
