During the month of May 2021, the YouTuber and humanitarian was once again accused of wrongdoing. Former MrBeast staffers spoke out in an article by The New York Times, describing a “hostile” work environment and claiming that the channel head made unreasonable demands on his staff.

There were 11 former employees of MrBeast who came forward with their stories and experiences; one of them was a channel editor who claimed to have been treated poorly on a daily basis. Coworkers attest that MrBeast is a perfectionist, and those who have publicly criticized him have been threatened with death.
