The Unexpected and Controversial Rise of MrBeast to YouTube Superstardom

Once again, MrBeast and Rober banded together in October 2021 to take on a YouTube fundraising challenge as #TeamSeas. At this particular fund-raiser, $30 million was needed to be split between two groups: the Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup. In the same way that the previous fundraising effort did, this one did as well, finishing well within the challenge’s time allotment.

To help spread the word about their campaign, the two YouTubers reached out to other popular channels like LinusTechTips, AzzyLand, and TommyInnit. More than 33 million pounds of trash have been removed from the oceans so far.
