Light Pollution in the Different U.S. States
When you think about it, the idea that it is possible to drown out and affect not only wildlife, different ecosystems, but also the stars in the night sky from the use of lights is wild. But when you have such dense, big populations, it isn’t such a wild thought at all…

This map illustrates the different levels of light pollution across the country. It is clear to see that in the more heavily populated areas, specifically along the coastlines, there is a much higher level of light pollution than in other central parts of the country.
