Times Are Changing
In the past, there used to be very clear roles for men and women in the family: the woman was the stay-at-home caretaker, and the man was the provider- the one who went to the office every day to provide for the family. These roles were so ingrained in society that men didn’t feel the slightest responsibility to participate in house chores or even take care of the babies.
Today, though, things have changed, and our society is a lot more equal when it comes to sharing the load for husband and wife. It’s a lot more common for women to be working mothers and for fathers to be the main caregivers of the children. In many households, both mother and father have full-time jobs and take care of the children.
