These Real-Life Horrible Bosses Will Make You Fall In Love With Your Job Again

January 1, 2012 by Jade Parker

Not everyone can wake up in the morning with the satisfaction of knowing they’ve been blessed with the best boss. Some are lucky and score superiors who support their need for a healthy work-life balance, pay them what they’re worth, and encourage their growth as people and employees. Bonus points if they cross over into friend territory. Today’s Redditors and Twitter users must have spilled the salt, broken a mirror, or forgotten to forward that chain letter in their AOL mailbox from middle school because they’re employed by some of the most ruthless and clueless bosses we’ve ever seen. After reading these stories, you’ll feel like maybe your own boss isn’t all that bad. Or perhaps you might find yourself questioning if you were the one spilling the hot tea on Twitter in your sleep because it sounds an awful lot like your own experience.

Photoshop Fail

Back in the day, you used to apply to jobs by sending in your resume and an application, then patiently play the waiting game to see if you’ve got a shot at getting the job. These days, employers are putting their potential employees to the test. In some states, this is super illegal.

When you desperately want a job, your thinking cap doesn’t always sit on your head straight, and you’ll jump at the chance to prove your worth so you can eventually earn that paycheck. Unfortunately for this Twitter user, they not only got milked for free labor but also had to puzzle piece a painting together when there were better options. Did karma finally catch up to this crazy boss?
