Things Everyone Loves That We’re Afraid To Admit We Hate

August 14, 2012 by Jade Parker

Between the endless stream of trends that come and go on our social media feeds and the things that everyone thinks are universal likes (cheese, anyone?), it can feel almost criminal to admit your preferences go against the grain. People don’t even bother to ask you if you like it because they assume you do. It’s common sense. If you don’t like what everyone else likes, you’re an irredeemable monster with a black hole for a soul — or something like that. These Redditors are risking their digital karma by coming out of the closet and admitting that cool thing we’re positive every single person on the planet loves isn’t their cup of tea. In fact, some of them hate it with a passion that burns hotter than a thousand suns. Are your secret dislikes on this list? Read along with us, and you might be delighted to discover you’re not alone.

Are They Spying on Me?

I’m sitting down at my desk typing this article as soft pastels gently dance across my Cynosa V2 keyboard, Mamba Elite mouse, and Firefly mousepad in perfect unison. Thanks to the ambient lighting of my beloved Razer Chroma (that’s fancy branding talk for RGB) accessories, I’m in my zone, but this hater is here to ruin my vibe.

Although I have been personally attacked by the anti-RGB rhetoric, I get it. Not everyone needs the 16.8 million colors and endless customization options to enjoy their PC. The overpriced radioactive rainbow look isn’t for everyone, and I don’t think anyone ever imagined they’d have to sacrifice a USB port for their mousepad, the once least electronic computer accessory.
