#35: Paul Boyton in Rubber Suit, Similar to a Kayak, 1900s
These days we have access to all the materials necessary for every type of sport. Whether it be soccer, gymnastics, or even some sort of water sports, one way or another, you will be able to find the necessary equipment. But once upon a time, it wasn’t so simple for someone to start a new hobby and have everything necessary to start doing it.
Paul Boyton became known as the man who crossed the English Channel in a rubber suit that acted similarly to a kayak in the late 1800s/early 1900s. At the time, something like this was extremely rare and impressive. Even today, traveling across an entire channel in a rubber suit similar to a kayak would be impressive.
