#23: Expectations vs. Reality
There is nothing quite as exciting as going to home inspections and new property listings and seeing beautifully renovated homes. Sure, older homes have a certain character to them, but chances are that if you purchase a newer home, you might run into fewer problems down the line.
But this is only true if the renovation done on the house was thorough and precise; otherwise, you should take the older build. Many of the newly renovated homes are done in a matter of months and haven’t been paid too much attention. So we suggest making sure you get a good look at everything before making an offer.
