#28: Always Negotiate
We think everyone can agree that buying a house is probably one of the only times most people will ever spend that much money in one go. Sure, the majority of people take out loans and don’t actually have hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to spend outright, but still, just the feeling of letting go of all of that money metaphorically can be difficult for some people.
So, even when the price is set, and you think you can’t make it go any lower, always try your hand at negotiating. Many people get so worked up trying to bid the highest amount of money for a house that they end up over-bidding and losing out on thousands of dollars when they just didn’t need to.
