Honorable Mention #9: Starbucks
This honorable mention is sure to be one of the most controversial on this list. Starbucks lovers, don’t come for us. Come for the 66% of Consumer Report survey participants that said they would not return to Starbucks after trying it for the first time.
Survey participants complained that the food offerings at Starbucks were lackluster and overpriced. Others complained about long lines, bad customer service, and poor quality coffee. Some online reviews have labeled Starbucks “the fast food coffee,” when compared to smaller, boutique cafes. Once a star, Starbucks Coffee only had 44% of Consumer Report participants claiming they would come back to Starbucks again. Honestly, this data should worry the people at Starbucks headquarters, if not treated soon enough, this can go up and cause quite the problem.
