Honorable Mention #10: Dunkin’ Donuts
From watching movies and TV one might think there’s nothing people like better than seeing a box with the Dunkin’ Donuts logo on it heading their way. The truth is the chain has a bit of a mixed reputation. As with many other fast food chains, it has increased its prices throughout the years while they did make few positive improvements to the quality of its offered items. The whole chain is a niche concept to begin with, and with so many local “boutique” donuts shops, Dunkin’ rarely stands out from in quality of price.

In recent years, they tried to step away from the donuts only concept and re-branded to “Dunkin’,” sans the Donuts” in the title. A tough mission for such a known brand. It’s too soon to tell if this change will save the veteran food chain and if customers will embrace it as a breakfast place rather than a one food stop. According to customers, it remains a mediocre and overpriced option.
