#9: Vegetable Disparity
This one was so close to being perfect. The carrots and broccoli are vibrantly colored and don’t seem to be falling apart. Still, they vastly outnumber the snap peas and water chestnuts, which is deeply frustrating if you’re using this in an Asian recipe that relies on those flavors as complements or if you just really like water chestnuts.
I counted four snap peas and six water chestnuts in this whole bag. Why? Who decides the proportions? Is it all one big mix, and this particular bag just came from the bottom? I guess carrots are cheaper, so they fill the bag with them, hoping no one will notice the disparity.
