I’m honestly shocked they got out of the car during the pouring rain. That must have been an intense gut feeling! It’s often safer to stay in the car, but with the mountainous area, I’m not so sure. All I know is I would have been terrified to be caught on a mountain pass during a traffic jam with that type of weather.

I would probably have nightmares for years about falling boulders the size of houses.
