No Hope of Escape
Let’s fast-forward to the climactic ending scenes of Titanic where Jack and Rose have to escape from the rising water level. The two made their way down to the third-class floor and were locked behind a series of doors and gates. How could they have escaped? Through sheer luck and a well-written script, that’s how.
Rising water levels in the lower decks would’ve most certainly put the couple in distress. They wouldn’t have been able to think right, let alone find a way to make it up several floors onto the deck. The chances were slim, but it would’ve been more realistic to bid the two adieu 30 minutes before the dramatic ending.
