Freud Didn’t Say That… Yet
There’s a scene where Rose is speaking her mind to the ship’s managing director, Bruce Ismay. After a bit of back and forth, she indirectly implies that Bruce’s manhood should be questioned. What a low blow, but hey, the guy really was asking for it. And she did it in the most eloquent way possible: referencing Dr. Freud.
This caught everyone off guard, but it was funny nonetheless. As hilarious as it was, it would’ve been impossible for her to quote this Dr. Freud line since he hadn’t published it for another seven years. Was she close with Dr. Freud before setting sail to America? Maybe?
