The Statue of Lies
After leaving Jack for dead and somehow not succumbing to exposure (remember that she was wearing a thin dress), she finally makes it to New York. She looks up at the Statue of Liberty in awe with its iconic greenness and alit crown and torch. She made it to the US, guys, and she lived long enough to retell her story about how she boned someone on the Titanic.
However, there are a few historical inaccuracies we need to point out. Firstly, the Statue of Liberty still had its brownish-copper color. The copper hadn’t oxidized enough to turn it completely green yet. Also, the golden flame from the crown and torch wasn’t added until 1986—a full 74 years after Rose was saved from certain death.
