Of Mice and Flowers
Most of us aren’t fond of mice; they’re usually unwanted invaders, steal our food, sneak around and they send our heart racing when they crawl out of their holes. However, it turns out not all mice are scary – some of them are surprisingly sweet. Harvest mice, a lot like bees, like to eat pollen. It seems very cozy and warm inside these flowers, so it’s no wonder they often fall asleep when they climb inside them.
Between the sleeping mouse and the one with the pollen-covered whiskers, we’ll never look at mice the same after learning this. We never knew mice could be so sweet, but perhaps the next time we find them in our house, we won’t be so hard on them. The bad news are – Harvest mice are common in Europe and Asia.
