We’re all familiar with the infamous beak masks – the scary masks doctors used to wear in the 17th century in Europe when they visited patients’ houses. Can you imagine lying in bed, waiting for the doctor and seeing those long-beaked figures wearing all black? in years to come, these masks have become a symbol of the plague.
It turns out that beak masks weren’t the most scary plague outfit around. This Twitter user discovered that in the Philippines, they wore suits that rivaled the notorious beak masks of Europe. As scary as those suits are, we have to admit nothing tops the beak masks.
