These People Were “Today Years Old” When They Learned These Surprising Facts

September 24, 2010 by Molly Reynolds

Linguistics

Is it a mere coincidence that if you replace the “w” in the words, “when,” “where” and “what” with a “t” – you answer the question? Perhaps, and perhaps not. Either way, it is pretty mind blowing if you’ve never thought of that before. It’s no surprise that the thread where they shared this gem is called “shower thoughts” – this is exactly the kind of ideas you get only in the shower.

This makes perfect sense when you think about it, and perhaps that’s why they always say “the answer is in the question.” To be honest, it’s quite embarrassing to admit we’ve only now realized something this colossal and mind-blowing, yet so simple and obvious. It was staring us in the face this whole time.
