Every year more than 15 million plastic surgery procedures take place in the US, and that’s not counting all the dangerous underground work that goes unreported. The continuous surge has some concerned that we’re going under the knife too early and taking unnecessary risks to meet unreasonably high beauty standards.
Botox and fillers are touted as a means of maintenance to help us hold onto our youthful looks longer than we might without them, but some are chasing the impossible dream of looking like an Instagram filter, slicing and injecting every time there’s a new beauty trend.
