Who here remembers the whole Y2K scare and the hubbub surrounding it? Basically, the Y2K bug also called the Year 2000 bug or the Millennium Bug was a potentially disastrous failure of computers all over the world. Many experts believed that older software systems would end up reading “00” as 1900 instead of 2000 causing a glitch that would lead to many errors and malfunctions. 

Even companies like Best Buy advised people to shut off their computers before midnight on December 31, 1999. As you know, once the year 2000 rolled around, nothing much really happened. Our computers survived and so did we.
