From humble beginnings in a garage to a multinational technology company with a valuation of approximately $1.7 trillion, Amazon has come a long, long way. The founder of the company, Jeff Bezos is the current richest man in the world with a net worth of $177 billion. 

To think that none of this would have come to fruition if Bezos had chosen to listen to a bunch of Harvard business school students in 1997. Apparently, they believed that he should have just sold to Barnes and Noble while he had the chance. Well, sometimes you just need to have faith in your vision and ignore what the world has to say.
