These days hopping on an airplane is as easy as any other mode of transport. You can literally get to the other side of the world in a matter of hours in a metal bird without even batting an eyelid. Of course, we all know that we have the Wright brothers to thank for this. 

Just nine days before they embarked on mankind’s first-ever flight, The New York Times published an article about how it would take one to ten million years to build a flying machine. Well, the brothers sure proved them wrong and how! Apparently, even after the flight, their story didn’t make it to the front page. Now, that seems a little unfair.
