Do you know how little of our planet is actually discovered? Sure, we’ve mapped out most places on land, but most of what’s underwater remains a mystery. We don’t know about you guys, but we’d prefer to keep it that way. You never know what you’ll discover when you put on your scuba gear and travel the depths of the vast, blue ocean. Here are 50+ breathtaking yet horrifying images of what mankind has lost underwater.

Giving a Helping Hand
The colossal hand sculpture by Lorenzo Quinn in Venice, Italy, is a show-stopper. The sculpture, appropriately named Support, was a must-see for anybody visiting the area. According to people who know and study art, the hands represent man’s potential to harm the world while also having the ability to safeguard its survival.

Support was installed in 2017 and has since been featured in the media. Quinn, the artist, created the much-discussed sculpture with the help of London’s Halcyon Gallery, but it was built in Barcelona, Spain. To us, it looks like someone’s trying to get out of the water and take over the city.
