Who Dares Interrupt Neptune?
Those who love everything related to Greek Mythology, this one is for you. What you can see pictured below is a statue of Poseidon, the god of the sea. No, it wasn’t constructed by fish and octopuses joining fins and tentacles to create a statue of their deity. This statue is actually located off the shore of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

Sculptor Luis Arencibia made the statue completely out of bronze, but over the years, the elements have weathered it down to a ghastly green. Some claim that the statue protects the people of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from nightmarish waves, but in reality, it doesn’t.
