Here’s a sight no sane person would want to come across, especially when swimming deep in the ocean. What you see is a series of statues created by English sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. Now, you’re probably wondering why he built those statues and why he plopped them on the bottom of the ocean.
These statues actually belong to a single art exhibit. Their main focus isn’t to give divers the underwater willies but rather to become a spot for underwater wildlife to call home. Over the next several decades, we can safely presume that these statues will be covered in coral and become home to all sorts of aquatic life.
