Remnants of the Titanic
You’re missing out if you haven’t seen the classic James Cameron film Titanic. The history of the world’s most renowned maritime disaster is legendary. The ancient ship was a sight to behold and was regarded as the pinnacle of luxury until cruise ships became more accessible to the general public.
The propellers from the RMS Titanic are still submerged at a depth of 4,000 meters in the North Atlantic. The ship sank in 1912, and degradation has taken its toll on one of the propellers over a century later, as shown in this image. More than 1500 crew and passengers are thought to have died on that awful night.
