No One’s a Mind Reader
The art of subtlety can be great, but not when it comes to communication. If you want or need something, it’s best to be direct. Tell your partner, friend, or colleague what you are feeling and what you would like to happen. They’re not mind readers and neither are you – don’t expect them to guess what you want.
A lot of people can’t take hints, either. Don’t beat around the bush and then get upset when someone doesn’t pick up on your small clues. If you need something out of a relationship, practice open communication and ask for what you need and want. Everyone will be happier and more fulfilled in the long run.
