#43: No Diets
Translation is a tricky business. Different languages have different ways of saying things, and some things can’t be translated literally, because that would make no sense in the target language.

It looks like this sign was translated literally. The illustration helps us understand that this sign is meant to say that no food and drinks are allowed, but what it really says is something else altogether. It’s actually contradictory. Do they want people eating, or do they want people dieting? Which one is it?
