ParaNorman Activity
Everyone loves a good, mildly scary ghost story, whether it’s told around the smoke and glow of a campfire in the woods or through the tv screen at a cozy sleepover. We admit we liked getting spooked by tales of lost souls, but it wasn’t the spirits and zombies in ParaNorman that left kids feeling off; it was the dark, depressing elements of the story itself.
Norman’s supernatural abilities are a point of contention between his parents, who leave him feeling invalidated as he fights to help a ghost girl named Aggie, who was the victim of mob mentality during witch trials held centuries earlier. Everyone just wants to be accepted for who they are, and being ostracized can be scarier than any ghost, ghoul, or monster.
