Drink Plenty o’ Water
Stay hydrated, folks. Whether you’re flying or not, you should drink plenty of water to keep your skin supple, your organs thoroughly lubricated, and your third quenched. We didn’t have to tell you this important life lesson since you probably learned it in the third grade, but there’s a very good reason why you should drink plenty of water while flying.
Like chewing gum, gulping down water will allow your ears to adjust to the cabin pressure. Also, if the flight attendant serves it, get bottled water because, well, airplane tap water is a breeding ground for bacteria. You can also bring your own bottled water on a flight if you know the secret (we’ll talk about this in a bit).
