The In-Crowd Left Everyone Out
High school popularity is weird if you think about it. If you weren’t in the in-crowd, you hated those who were for being exclusionary and less than friendly. So who were they popular with outside of their own small circle? Maybe we just remembered their names and they weren’t actually popular.
You knew they would leave you out of their homecoming parties and the most intimate parts of their lives. That was a given. But when they’re in charge of planning the class reunion, you expect an invite. Maybe the out-crowd can have their own reunion and conveniently forget to invite the popular kids.
