Teachers Who Took It The Extra Mile
It wasn’t only our friendships and rivalries with our classmates that made those four unforgettable years of high school memorable. It was the teachers and staff too. We all had the teachers we loved for their wise-cracking jokes and lax classroom rules, and we had the ones who killed our curiosity with their harsh grading rubrics and serious attitudes, but as adults, we know they meant well.
Making it out to your old students’ reunion when they’re old enough to be grandparents is something to be admired. At 97, it can take a lot to get out of the house, so we applaud this teacher for her dedication and for still making it a point to be part of her kids’ lives.
