It’s a Little Pugly
If you’ve ever felt your wallet getting lighter as you walk past the toy aisle you swore you wouldn’t go down with your kids, you’re not alone. The Toy Industry Association launched a study that found parents spend an average of nearly $600 every year keeping their two to twelve-year-olds entertained with new toys.

81% of the parents in the study repurposed their toys into hand-me-downs for younger siblings or passed down their childhood favorites, but there was no word on how many are upcycling those old Beanie Babies and mermaid dolls into curious new hybrids that leave us questioning what’s in the water.
