#26: The Population of Dogs and Cats in Each U.S. State
The divide between dog owners and cat owners is probably bigger than any other. Owning a pet is a very big decision, and deciding whether it will be a cat or a dog is even bigger. Both animals come with their good and bad, so it is left up to personal preference.

As much as there seems to be a divide, it is clear that many states have lots of cats as well as dogs. We didn’t expect to see that the North and East coasts would be dominant with cats, while the South would be dog-dominated. It’s interesting how that worked out.
