#28: The U.S. As Seen by a New Yorker
A lot of people think of New York as something else than the rest of the U.S.- they only happen to share a country, but other than geography, it has almost nothing in common with other states across the U.S. New Yorkers often feel the same way- they see every state in the country quite differently.

For example, they see Wisconsin as just “cheese”, and Maine as just “cold”. Texas is “not worth messing with,” and Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, and the like are “places where aunts live” (which they probably visit once every two years or so). We can’t say these definitions are absolutely wrong.
