New Kneecaps
When babies are born their kneecaps are made of cartilage. Only after a few months these temporary kneecaps turn into the permanent ones. The cartilage ossifies and bone forms in place of it. This is just one of the reasons why babies can’t stand when they are young.
Today walkers and other methods of helping babies walk before they are ready aren’t recommended. Every stage of physical development such as rolling, crawling, and walking are each just as important as the next. They will help baby with motor skills in the future.
