Not The Best Weather
Flying from Alaska to other parts of the region is a more pleasurable experience than driving. This assumes they don’t use dog sleds to get to work. However, there are times when the wind conditions are inconvenient to flying, making it difficult to fly. To put it another way, flying becomes more difficult when the wind isn’t ideal.
As a direct consequence of this, pedestrians and drivers are expected to move over to make room for aircraft that are required to make an emergency landing. Can you picture a plane going down right next to your car while it is still moving at a high rate of speed?
