New York – The Hudson River
With such countless old photos involving wars and disputes, it is practically reviving to take a gander at this old landscape photograph of New York. The people familiar with the Big Apple today presumably struggled to accept that New York once resembled this.
This peaceful photo of the Hudson River, named “Indian Glen,” was taken by William England. At first, the photograph was high contrast in black and white yet was subsequently colorized with unique techniques and technological advancements. The river streams right along the eastern part of New York, going about as a border with New Jersey at its southern end.
