South Dakota – The Interior Of The Chapel Of Merciful Saviour
The image of this church will forever be captured in history thanks to the existence of photography since it totally burned down about 14 years after the picture was taken. Thanks to the imagination of photographer Stanley J. Morrow, the picture shares some of the praised architecture of the Chapel’s interior.

However, a fire broke out in February 1884, and the whole area entered a state of emergency. Unfortunately, no one tried to put out the fire in time and the Chapel of the Merciful Savior burned to the ground completely.
