Standing Under Forklifts
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which is also known as the Mine Safety and Health Administration, has some stringent safety guidelines for forklifts, one of which reads, “Never stand near or under loaded forklift tines/forks.” Forklifts may drop their load or cause a stack of materials to collapse, resulting in a possible caught/crush injury.

Even though this worker knew that it was against company policy, he ignored the sign and decided to go for it. Sure, it looks like nothing more than a few cardboard boxes, but if that load shifts even slightly, he’ll be in big trouble. And to make matters worse, there is no driver in the forklift.
