Changing Taste Buds
Our taste buds change as we age, becoming less sensitive and less able to perceive different flavors. This might be why children are so picky. After all, they have a lot of super-sensitive, well-functioning taste buds.
Why do children do this? While tastes change, they don’t tend to move as rapidly as they might. The real question, though, is whether a year’s worth of cheese deprivation has left this youngster with insufficient vitamins.
