Jimi Hendrix was a relatively brief musician who nonetheless managed to gather a strong following throughout the United States and Europe. His freaky guitar solos and innovative sound influenced millions of teenagers throughout the country.
Jimi Hendrix became the 28th member of the “27 Club” on September 18, 1970. After a night of drinking and taking sleeping pills in a London hotel room, he was discovered lifeless. Hendrix suffocated while sleeping after ingesting his own vomit, according to a post-mortem examination.
