Martin Luther King jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King Junior was an American Baptist pastor who became one of the most well-known faces in the Civil Rights movement from the latter half of the 1960s until his assassination in 1968.
On April 3, 1968 (two days before Martin was murdered on the second-floor balcony of the Lorraine Motel), this photo was taken outside the Lorraine Motel, just the day before Martin’s life would come to an end. In previous attempts on his life, Martin had been the target, but as threats began to arrive more than ever, he realized that his life was in danger.
