Playing With Pogs
Pogs and slammers are an unforgettable part of our 90s weekends with friends. After all, it was basically our childhood introduction to gambling, but with something less likely to leave us in financial ruin. The only thing we lost was our beloved pogs and a few tears if our opponent managed to flip our stacks just right.
While nostalgia has revived many of our beloved childhood pastimes, pogs haven’t weaseled their way back into our weekends. There was an attempt to resurrect them via an augmented reality mobile game, but the social media accounts responsible for advertising the digital comeback died three years ago, so we’ll stick to lovingly remembering them through memes.
