Saving Princess Peach
It’s 1996. You’ve demolished the Dominoes and have been working on your wall kicks. You won the Big Penguin Race, collecting stars left and right until you and your buddies pass out. You drift in and out of a consciousness punctuated by the Super Mario 64 soundtrack, and there’s no school tomorrow. Life is good.
The sleepovers might be over, but 90’s kids are still saving Princess Peach from Bowser and throwing that baby penguin off Cool Cool Mountain more than 20 years later. Many have passed on the torch to their kids for weekends full of fantastical frustration and fun in the Mushroom Kingdom after dusting off their Nintendo 64 or downloading the Switch port to keep the memories alive.
