What Cruise Ships Are Really Like From the Passengers’ Point of View

Once again, Hollywood sets up impossible standards. On TV, cruises always seem like the ultimate vacation for a group of friends and the ideal place to meet new people; they show us young men and women enjoying their spring break in style, sitting on deck drinking cocktails, hanging out by the poolside and having a good time.

Hollywood has ruined this experience for us. We expect a cruise to be full of people our age, young families and young people who are there to party and have a good time, but that’s usually not the case. Truth is, cruises are an appealing attraction for elderly people (perhaps they’re too expensive for the younger generation?).
